Target group: beginners in the topic of green soft skills over 18 (young workers), learning designers, educators, broader public, people who are changing their working field to green sector along with the development of their green soft skills they will also develop their digital skills

 

Career paths: The skills are useful for diverse career path- enhancing the carreers of technical fields, scientists, researchers, enriching also knowledge and skills of experts in humanities, businessmen/women, environmental ethicists, advisors, consultants, prognostics, managerial – leadership roles, non-profit, NGO activists, politicians, state service, influencers, public figuers, environmental journalists, writers, environmental educators, educators with various specializations as environmental/sustainabilty education is often a crosscurricular theme, free-time animators...

 

Course goals and structure:

General course goals - career boost, positive impact on ecology and sustainability, green soft skills

The GreenComp deals with theoretical knowledge (eg. understanding the key concepts, terminology, analysis of issues) but also practical actions (eg. planning and testing the real life impact related to active citizenship in relation to promoting sustainability)

 

GreenComp consists of 12 competences  organised into the four areas and the four areas represent 4 learning modules in the MOOC: 

  • MODULE 1- -EMBODYING SUSTAINABILITY VALUES – valuing sustainability, supporting fairness, promoting nature  - what is good? Cca 2,5h

  • MODULE 2- EMBRACING COMPLEXITY IN SUSTAINABILITY -  systems thinking, critical thinking, problem framing  - what to believe? Cca 2,5h

  • MODULE 3- ENVISIONING SUSTAINABLE FUTURES - futures literacy , adaptability , exploratory thinking – how to think and plan? Cca 2,5h

  • MODULE  4 - ACTING FOR SUSTAINABILITY - political agency, collective action,  individual initiative - what and how to do? Cca 2,5h
