We are thrilled to announce a significant achievement for our project and the sustainability community! Our Toolkit on Green Soft Skills has been officially accepted and published on the SALTO Youth website.
This is an important milestone that allows our work to reach a broader audience of youth workers, educators, and organizations throughout Europe and beyond.
Why Is This Important?
The publication of our toolkit on the SALTO Youth platform means that our resource will now be accessible to a wide network of professionals dedicated to empowering young people and promoting sustainable practices. With its emphasis on fostering Green Soft Skills through Non-Formal Education, the toolkit aims to equip educators with innovative methods and activities that align with the European Union’s GreenComp Framework.
This framework, developed by the Joint Research Centre (JRC) and published by the Publications Office of the European Union in 2022, identifies 12 key sustainability competences necessary for lifelong learning. Our toolkit integrates these competences into practical, engaging sessions designed to cultivate critical thinking, eco-consciousness, and collaborative problem-solving among young people.
What’s Inside the Toolkit?
The toolkit offers 36 structured activities, each crafted to support youth workers in designing and implementing sustainability-focused learning experiences. Whether you are planning a local workshop or an EU-wide event, the toolkit provides a diverse range of methods and tools to inspire young people to think green, act green, and live green.
Expanding Our Impact Through SALTO Youth
Being featured on the SALTO Youth platform expands the potential impact of our toolkit. As a resource hub and knowledge-sharing platform, SALTO Youth connects youth organizations, youth workers, and practitioners throughout Europe, promoting quality development in youth work and non-formal learning.
By sharing our toolkit through SALTO Youth, we hope to contribute to a more sustainable future by empowering a new generation of youth workers and educators to integrate sustainability into their programming.
