Green Youth Employability (GYE) is an e-learning platform designed to help you develop green skills in a simple, fun and interactive way.

What is an e-learning platform? Imagine a school without classrooms or fixed schedules: you can access courses ANYTIME, ANYWHERE, using the best digital tools to learn in a practical way.

What will you find here? Our courses explore key topics for a more sustainable future: from circular economy to digital transition, from green soft skills to plant-based cooking. With simple and practical lessons, you will discover new perspectives and explore emerging green job opportunities, using this platform as a guide for your professional growth.

Our Environmental Assessment & Circular Economy Expert: Matevž Obrecht

Matevž Obrecht will introduce you to environmental assessment and circular economy, providing the tools to analyze and minimize human impact on the environment.

This course has five modules. In each module, you will learn important skills to understand and improve sustainability:

  • Module 1: Introduction to environmental laws and assessment – learn about important laws (like CSRD and EU Taxonomy) and tools to check environmental impact.
  • Module 2: Carbon footprint – learn what a carbon footprint is, how to calculate it, and how to reduce your CO2 emissions.
  • Module 3: Ecological footprint – calculate your ecological footprint and understand how much nature you use. Learn how to live in a more sustainable way.
  • Module 4: Circular economy – learn how to use less, reuse, and recycle materials. Discover how companies and people can use the 9R framework to reduce waste.
  • Module 5: Awareness and action – learn how to teach others about sustainability and create a small project to help people understand why it is important.

This course will equip you with the knowledge and practical skills needed to assess sustainability, lead decarbonization projects, and implement circular economy principles in real-world scenarios.

Our Digital Transformation Expert: Joan Bosch Ávila

Our digital transformation expert, Joan Bosch Ávila, will guide you through an engaging journey to understand how technology can drive efficiency and innovation.

We’ve structured this journey into four modules, each focusing on key aspects of digital transformation:

  • Module 1: Introduction to digitalization, key technologies, and process improvement strategies.
  • Module 2: The impact of digital transformation on sustainability, including economic, social, and environmental factors.
  • Module 3: Big Data – from data collection and visualization to insights and action plans.
  • Module 4: Essential skills for digital transformation, covering change management, leadership, communication, and systemic thinking.

Our Green Soft Skills Expert: Barbara Bad’uorová

Our green soft skills expert, Barbara Bad’uorová, will help you learn important skills for a green and sustainable life and career. Barbara is an expert in environmental ethics and sustainability education. She will guide you to understand values, systems, and future ideas for a better planet.

This journey has four modules. Each module will help you learn different skills for sustainability:

  • Module 1: Embodying sustainability values – understanding environmental ethics, sustainability principles, fairness, and respect for nature.
  • Module 2: Embracing complexity in sustainability – enhancing critical and systems thinking to navigate complex environmental challenges and overcome logical fallacies.
  • Module 3: Envisioning sustainable futures – developing creativity, adaptability, and futures literacy to imagine and plan sustainable solutions.
  • Module 4: Acting for sustainability — turning knowledge into action through responsible citizenship, collective action, and individual initiatives that contribute to a sustainable future.

Our Sustainable Cuisine Expert: Davide Sciotta

Our sustainable cooking expert, Davide Sciotta (@ingegneriavegetale on Instagram), will guide you through an interactive journey to help you put sustainable cooking into practice.

We’ve divided this journey into five modules, each exploring different aspects of vegan and sustainable cuisine:

  • Module 1: Introduction to Davide and his background.
  • Module 2: The history of veganism, its environmental impact, ethical choices, and how it has evolved over time. We’ll explore today’s available ingredients and what it means to be vegan in the modern world.
  • Module 3: appetizers, nut-based cheeses, and fresh pasta – ideas for social dining.
  • Module 4: Proteins – the main meat substitutes in a vegan diet.
  • Module 5: Vegan desserts – how to create delicious and sustainable sweets.

Final thought

This platform doesn’t want to impose anything but simply invites you to explore new opportunities in the evolving green job market. Climate change presents major challenges and our goal is to help you reflect on them while providing practical tools to build a more sustainable career.
